Electrolysis is safe and effective for all hair and skin types and colors.  It is the only method of hair removal recognized by the FDA and AMA to be permanent.

With electrolysis, one hair is treated at a time.  A small probe is painlessly inserted into the hair follicle until it reaches the dermal papilla at the base of the follicle.  The skin is not punctured or pierced.  

 

Once the probe is properly positioned within the hair follicle, an electrical current is administered, which destroys the dermal papilla and regenerative stem cells.  The hair follicle is disabled in its ability to regrow hair.

 

There are 3 modalities of electrolysis:

1) Galvanic- creates a chemical reaction

2) Thermolysis- creates heat  

3) Blend Method- both Galvanic and Thermolysis are used in unison or conjunction
